Elijah Farhood is the founder and CEO of Katsh Digital ID, a company that he created to provide innovative solutions for identity theft security and financial technology. Many people do not realize the severity of personal information theft until they become victims themselves, as Elijah unfortunately experienced. With over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Elijah has established a successful career as a FINRA licensed trader and analyst. Throughout his work, he has gained a thorough understanding of cybercrime, particularly in regards to the tactics used to obtain financial information and the negative impact of identity theft on individuals.
Since founding KatshID, Elijah has been dedicated to empowering people to reach their goals from any location with the added security of instant access to various services using their digital identity. His company’s mission is to provide a secure and convenient way for individuals to protect and manage their personal information.
Tell us more about your role in KATSH DIGITAL ID
As the CEO of Katsh Digital ID, it is my responsibility to provide direction and leadership for our company. This includes creating and implementing a clear vision, as well as assembling and organizing a team of individuals who have the skills and resources necessary to fulfill our mission.
I strive to cultivate a collaborative team culture that emphasizes teamwork and rewards individual contributions. As a startup, it is also essential that I focus on expanding our client base and securing funding to support the growth of our company. To achieve these goals, I must effectively manage and delegate tasks to ensure that all team members have the tools and support they need to succeed.
What is the most difficult part of your job? But the most rewarding one?
One of the most challenging aspects of running a startup is the consistent effort and dedication required to turn your vision into a reality. It takes a lot of hard work and careful resource management to bring your ideas to fruition, but the passion and excitement you feel for your business can help sustain your persistence and drive.
On the other hand, the most rewarding aspect of being a startup founder is the knowledge that the value and impact you are creating with your team has the potential to greatly benefit others and even change lives. I am grateful to be working with a talented group of individuals towards the common goal of promoting financial inclusion for all.
Is there anything that you would change about your professional path?
I am content with my professional journey and the experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. I feel fortunate to have made meaningful contributions to society through my work and to have had the opportunity to work in both the technology and finance industries, which I am passionate about. It has become clear to me through my experiences that a secure technology is a necessary component of effective and efficient financial services. This realization led me to work tirelessly to establish Katsh Digital ID. Overall, I bElijaheve that the challenges and successes I have encountered along my professional path have brought me to where I am today.
What’s your key strategy for the development of your company?
Transparency and honesty are crucial elements of our company’s strategy, both with my team and with our clients. It is important to be upfront about potential partnerships that may not align with the best interests of all parties involved. In order to foster strong partnerships, it is essential that people have a thorough understanding of our company, our values, and the services we offer.
Education is also a key aspect of our strategy. Many people are unaware of the dangers of fraud and do not know how to recognize it. Even seemingly simple transactions can leave individuals vulnerable to identity theft. By educating people about these risks and the limitations of current cyber security measures, we aim to empower them to protect their personal information and make informed decisions about its use.
What do you think about the next period of time, keeping in mind the pandemic and the new business climate? How will your industry be affected?
The pandemic has had a devastating impact on many people’s lives, but it has also presented a significant opportunity for the accelerated adoption of digital technologies. The shift towards remote work has led to an increase in the need for secure personal information protection. Identity theft has tripled in the past four years, causing significant financial losses for organizations. The potential benefits of being able to confidently and easily verify someone’s identity from any location are vast. With the right solutions in place, the transition to a fully digital society could be within reach.

What books do you have on your nightstand?
Dale Carnegie’s “Lifetime Plan for Success” which is a comprehensive guide to achieving personal and professional success. The book covers a wide range of topics including public speaking, interpersonal communication, leadership, and time management. Carnegie emphasizes the importance of building strong relationships, developing a positive attitude, and continuously learning and growing in order to achieve long-term success.
Jim Collins’ “Good to Great” is a business book that explores the characteristics and practices of companies that have made the transition from being good to great. Collins and his team conducted extensive research to identify the common factors that contributed to the success of these companies. The book outlines a framework for organizational excellence and offers practical advice for companies looking to make the leap from good to great.
